A conservatory, a country club and a banquet estate
Mount Prospect has some unusual party settings. The Mt. Prospect Park District rents the conservatory at Friendship Park, a bright space where natural light does a lot of the work, so we keep the palette soft with pearl, white and blush balloons on a fluted panel.
Victoria in the Park and Old Orchard Country Club host showers, christenings and anniversaries in rooms with large windows. There a Signature Arch Setup from $600, with two panels and faux floral accents, frames the view instead of hiding it.
Kids' parties at Central and RecPlex
For children's birthdays, many families book a party room at the Central Community Center or RecPlex. These rooms are practical and plain, so a Classic Arch Setup from $300 turns one wall into the party's centerpiece with a single LED panel, an organic garland and a cutout of the birthday child's favorite character or number.
We plan setup so it fits the room's rental window and leaves tables free for food and crafts.
Fourth of July and backyard season
The Mount Prospect Lions Club Fourth of July festival at Melas Park, with its carnival and two fireworks nights, is a summer anchor, and graduation parties cluster around it.
For backyard events we choose weighted bases and garlands built for warm weather. Around the holidays, a chrome garland with a neon sign suits office parties and family gatherings.
